Clara's Place Preschool was inspired by owners Grandmother Clara who had an undeniable love for teaching young children through Home Child Care.

At Clara’s Place Preschool our philosophy recognizes that a child’s driving sense of curiosity should direct their own learning path.

Clara’s Place Preschool Program knows the importance of children’s experience with nature and the great outdoors with long and frequent outdoor learning periods and taking the approach of bringing the outside “in” with our natural learning materials, décor and programming.

In using Ontario’s pedagogy for the Early Years “How Does Learning Happen?” in conjunction with “Early Learning for Every Child Today” a framework for Ontario early childhood setting, Clara’s Place continues to develop an everchanging curriculum that focuses on developmentally appropriate learning that can be tailored to fit student’s individual needs.

Our long-term values focus on child-centered holistic learning through play that incorporates self-concept, nature and living a healthy active lifestyle.

Mrs. Jazzy RECE, BASc

Behind Clara’s Place Preschool is me, Jazzy! I am a passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator with my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and my Bachelors of Applied Science Degree in Childhood Development with extensive experience working with young children in a variety of settings.

Ms.Mackenzie, BECE,RECE

I’m Mackenzie! I am an RECE who believes children learn best through personal experiences
and individual preferences.
I have an Early Childhood Education diploma as well as an honours bachelors degree in Early
Childhood Education! I am always looking to further my education and knowledge to help
children grown and flourish on their early childhood journey!

Hi! My name is Sarah! I became involved with Childcare in 2022 on Parry Island where I worked until gaining employment with Clara's Place! I graduated Canadore College for Personal Support Worker in 2021 after working in long term care for 5 years. My experience has a lot of transferable skills that I use everyday working with students! I enjoy working with the kiddos and look forward to continuing my journey in Child Care!

Hi! I’m Cody! I’m so honored to be apart of this wonderful team at Clara’s Place Preschool. I’m a mom to be due in March 2026, my partner Tyler and I have two dogs Oakley and Maya. I love working with kiddos and seeing their growth!

My name is Loveleen Kaur. I am a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE). I have a strong background in early childhood education and recently graduated in 2025. I am committed to creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. I am excited to be a part of Clara’s Place Preschool and look forward to contributing my skills, enthusiasm, and care to support every child’s unique journey.

Mrs. Ariel, PSW

Hi, my name is Ariel-Rose! Currently through my educational journey I have obtained a certificate in Personal Support Work (PSW) through the Near North District School Board. I am now working towards obtaining my Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification as well as looking to expand my education in Inclusion Support. I have four children - one of my children have ADHD, and one has a Severe Autism diagnosis. With these family experiences, this has been influential on my desire to not only become more knowledgeable in early childhood education but to help support them through their journey as well!

Hi I’m Caitlin! The cook and cleaner at Clara’s Place. I have been in the cleaning industry for 5 years and I’m excited to bring my knowledge and expertise to the preschool to ensure a clean and safe learning environment. I was fortunate enough to spend most of my time growing up at the OG Clara’s Place and I am so happy to be back providing the same opportunities, experience and delicious snacks to our kiddos!

Mrs. Afia, RECE

Hi my name is Mrs. Afia and I am so excited to be teaching in the preschool classroom! A little bit about me, I have been a RECE for four years but have been working in the field for about 8 years. It started with me helping my mom with her home daycare and then I moved on to a centre where I decided to pursue my Early Childhood Education diploma at Seneca College. I was born and raised in Toronto and moved to Parry Sound in 2021, I live with my husband and two wonderful cats. I am looking forward to working with you and your child as we teach them to reach for the stars!

Mrs. Alexsa, RN

Hi! I’m Alexsa and I’m very excited to be joining Clara’s Place Childcare. I received my Practical Nursing Diploma in 2011. Although most of my working career has been in health care and social services, I recently had the opportunity to work in childcare and loved it. I live with my husband, 3 children, 3 dogs and 2 cats in Carling. In my spare time I love being outside, walking, traveling and soaking up the sun. I look forward to getting to know and work with all your children.
